White Mountain. Architecture in Chile presents and analyzes an outlook of contemporary Chilean architecture, based in a selection of outstanding works produced in Chile in the last years.
The volume includes over 120 works by more than 60 architects or architecture studies, including local figures such as Alejandro Aravena, José Cruz Ovalle, Mathias Klotz, Sebastián Irarrázaval, Smiljan Radić; and younger generations as Pezo von Ellrichshausen Architects. The selection was carried out by Miquel Adrià, director of Arquine, in collaboration with an editorial committee integrated by renowned national architects of different generations.
An introductory text by editor Miquel Adrià, presents an accurate vision of the production of recent architecture, along with the definitions and preferences of his selection. This is followed by essays of distinguished professors and investigators Horacio Torrent and Pablo Allard. The architects are presented in an alphabetical order, with a brief summary of their projects, complemented with technical data, plans and photographs of each work.
