Horizontes Borrosos - Campos
Exhibitions catalogues of the combined exhibition of Francisca Benedetti and Consuelo Serrano, “Horizontes Borrosos” and “Campos”, respectively. A common landscape vision in which detail is lost to reach a translucent atmosphere, one that exceeds the anecdote while showing essential aspects relative to space and color.
“Horizontes Borrosos” corresponds to a series of six acrylic over paper paintings, where the purity of color is applied on infinite layers that merge horizontal or vertically. Without delimiting frontiers, in a rhythmical pulse, they invite to a sublime contemplation experience.
In “Campos”, her series of photographs, Consuelo Serrano wants to achieve a “photographic translation of the ‘invisible’, the capacity of the camera of capturing, in a fraction of a second, the imperceptible of the place.” And this search for the invisible is captured, paradoxically, through what we cannot see, what we can barely make visible.
